We recognise that the events industry - in particular the outdoor events industry - has large impact on the environment and its critical that we play our part.
Our aim is to raise awareness and continually develop our environmental policies and systems in order to reduce the impact of our operation on the environment. We aim to be one of the most environmentally sensitive bar hire and management companies in London.
Our Commitment at Events
- Continuously researching to seek to improve environmental performance:
- - We are Involved with the Drop 4 Drop Charity which means that every amount of water we sell, an equal amount will go to a water deprived third world country.
- We assist our clients to use products in an environmentally-sensitive way, for example:
- - Choosing the least harmful and most environmentally-efficient materials and products:
- - Bio degradable & recyclable packaging
- - Bio degradable & recyclable paper cups
- - Fully compostable plastic products
- - Recycling "Cans 4 Cups" scheme
- - Re-useable/washable plastic pint cups
- - Recycling of glass bottles
- We use local suppliers to eliminate unnecessary transport and actively market for mobile bars to hire in London
- We favour suppliers who have a positive, proactive environmental policy
- We reduce pollution and emissions by encouraging (with financial incentives) and enforcing (in some cases) car sharing policies with our staff travelling to and from events
- Pre-event, we always assess the overall environmental impact of the operation
- We raise awareness, encourage and train employees in the importance of our environmental impact at all events.
Our Commitment in the Office
- Our entire office is powered by 100% Green energy
- We are undertaking a scheme to make Peppermint Events Carbon Neutral
- We rigorously recycle all of our office waste
- We encourage and provide paper-free financial transactions for example, invoicing
- Most of our publicity and marketing material is in digital form.
- We are working towards the goal of a paper-free office and only use recycled paper when printing is necessary
- We use electronic methods over paper wherever possible
